Wheat bran should be fed relatively fresh and must be stored in a dry place, as its ability to swell makes it prone to absorbing moisture and spoiling. It is primarily fed as a moist preparation, with a daily feeding of 500g per horse not being a problem. Dr. Weyrauch receives the wheat bran almost freshly from their partner, a miller in Saarland. He still produces flour in the old tradition of his father, from which the wheat bran is obtained. The wheat bran is transferred to convenient 5 kg bags. This ensures the freshness of the product (as in Kristall Mash), meeting the high quality standards of the sprout.
