The secret to good feeding is quality.
More and more horse owners are noticing the addition of flavorings, sweeteners, or preservatives in their horse’s daily feed. Especially preservatives may not necessarily be listed in the declaration when certain amounts are adhered to. Many horses react to these additives with liver problems, mud fever, watery stools, or diarrhea. Also, eczema, tension, and allergies can be a consequence of certain intolerances.
For this reason, more and more horse owners are switching to truly natural or natural concentrate feed. Oats can be considered one of the best concentrates for horses. Unfortunately, due to temperament, a pure oat diet is not always possible. On the other hand, pure hay dry products are not always sufficient for the energy supply, especially for older or more demanding riding horses.
This led to the development of a pellet that is almost unsurpassed in purity and can be well combined with oats: No. 08/15 Grundstein. No. 08/15 Grundstein can be fed as an oat substitute for very spirited horses or combined with oats. This ensures a natural concentrate feed supply without additives.
A simple base: without preservatives, sweeteners, or flavorings, neither mineralized nor vitaminized.
The basis of this very high-fiber pellet is structured, dried grass, supplemented with gently dosed cereal and oilseed components. The low-starch No. 08/15 Grundstein is characterized by its extremely easy digestibility. It creates a balanced and basic climate for the microorganisms living in the colon. In contrast to common pellets, No. 08/15 Grundstein contains 70% structured grass fibers instead of green meal. The proportion of pellet components digested in the colon is thus guaranteed to be over 75%, allowing for carefree feeding. It is completely free of so-called “by-products,” such as ground cereals, bran, extraction meals, or oilcakes, as well as any additives, flavorings, binders, or preservatives.
The perfect base for dr.WEYRAUCH products.
However, it requires additional mineralization and possibly vitaminization through dr.WEYRAUCH components. Due to the moderate cereal content, which makes the pellet palatable even without molasses, the horse is supplied with small amounts of starch that can be broken down in the small intestine, providing energy for work and concentration. Flaxseed completes the recipe.
