Dr. Weyrauch No. 15 The Herbalist is a blend of the finest cold-pressed oils in top quality. The content of polyunsaturated fatty acids such as alpha-linolenic acid and gamma-linolenic acid is exceptionally high compared to oleic acid and monounsaturated fatty acids.
The Herbalist is complemented with bitter herbs such as artichoke, milk thistle, and gentian root. Bitter secondary plant substances stimulate bile flow, allowing fat digestion to start simultaneously with the horse’s feeding.
Feeding:
The various oils contained in The Herbalist offer a unique spectrum of different fatty acids and accompanying substances. Easy-to-feed horses benefit from No. 15 The Herbalist because it already contains a high amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids and a rich pattern of secondary plant substances and oil-related substances in small quantities. For horses for whom oil feeding is intended to provide energy, The Herbalist can be added to the usual oil ration (e.g., 150ml of corn or sunflower oil).
No. 15 Herbalist Fatty Acid Spectrum:
Linoleic acid (Omega-6 fatty acid) C18:2 26% Linolenic acid (Omega-3 fatty acid) C18:3 42% Oleic acid (Omega-9 fatty acid) C 18:1 20%
The content of polyunsaturated fatty acids is a total of 68%! The Herbalist does not contain fish oil and is very willingly accepted.
